Writer: Kayla has been writing stories since she was five years old with the dreams of one day turning her stories into films. In 2017, she started making her dreams come true when she self-published two books through amazon.com. Exploring a new outlet for readers, she published her story Forget-Me-Nots but wrote it in a screenplay format. Also, Kayla published her story Going On Impulse, which explores a young women's journey through battling bipolar disorder. Kayla has entered many of her screenplays into festivals and screenwriting contests and has been both finalist and winner as well as accepted into several film festivals including The Windy City Film Festival , The Grove Film Festival and Los Angeles CineFest.
Co-Director: Thanks to Snarky Aardvark Films, LLC, Kayla has had the opportunity to transform one of her screenplays into a film. In 2017, Kayla Co-Directed her first short film called Unattainable, which is an experimental, romantic drama about the uncertainties of young love. Since she is emotionally connected to her scripts, Kayla enjoys working with the actors and guiding them through the script to help them understand their characters. She loves to see how they transform into their characters to bring the story to life.
